MUSING WAX  (a character monologue)

I melt in your presence
Whether you let me or not
I am on fire! watch me!
Burning and glowing
I am more then light
Exposing and showing
Revealing only what I want you to see
I am more then what my existence seems to be
To you 
I am the mood
I am the sight
I am the candle
Slender , arcadic and sensuous
My soft, smoky whispers, dancing with the wind
Watch me glow-- watch me!
Burning slow for the sake of mood and anticipation
With my seducing façade. 
I am the candle burning fire and passion, 

but when I am not burning 
in my calm silence... my stillness
when I am in a state of your absence
note that 
I question my beauty.
