Experimental in nature, the album was a response to a friend who said the band's songs lacked structure. Written over a 6 month period, Rude To Stare was originally inspired by a rather heavy and transitional period of departures, changes, and emotions. The music is a mix of drum n' bass and jazz/classical. .
