UNDER THE PECULIAR MOON

I do believe
That all things happened for reasons
To learn some lessons
Its all apart of
This bigger - picture
But those are just words tonight

Tonight I am not amused.
The light has hit my mood.
And all I see is a mess.
And all I see is ruined.
“You can try to kick me down
But I’ll just get right back up”
Yeah, that’s what I used to say
I think tonight, i’ve had enough
Under the light of the peculiar moon.

These days are long - with all this sadness
there's too much sadness. This can't go on.

At the crossroads.
Again and I just want to quit.
But something tells me.
And it says
Keep moving on.
Keep moving on.
Even though life is hard…

Well, I thought this peculiar moon
Like all moons, it would wane
But it’s clear that it’s staying
So I must plan my escape
I know better then this - waiting to be saved
Guess I'll go within and find - the remains of my strength.
Instead of waiting for some deserved change
