FRANCEE (96 Years)

96 years now, she has survived
and as for her kin, they all have died
from old age now, or the holocaust
all she wants now is her time to be gone
to be with her parents and her deceased husband
but she goes on, but she goes on
against her will

Look in her eyes and you know that it's the truth
here is a woman who has truly paid her dues
"give me relief, give me relief
from this life that is my grief..."

96 years and oh what a life!
raised to be only the mother and wife
but the kids grew up and the husband died
where did that leave you, francee?
she hopes that I will marry - that I will try
so I won't live a "lonely spinster life"
for a life without a man is not a life - in Francee's eyes.

I brush the knots from her long and silver hair
a gal's gotta look good no matter whose there
Francee, you're stylin'! Francee, she's stylin'.
She knows that she's dying. I know that she's dying. dying. dying.

Oh Francee. Oh Francee
If there is one thing I want you to know
if there is one thing to feel in your soul
you were loved. you are loved, Francee.

Remember the letters I'd write?
The chocolates I'd bring?
while you remain on this earth
think of these things
oh my grandmother....
but I know this won't be the end
I'll see you in dreams and visions
In your spirit form, when I am feeling worn
When I am troubled, I will feel your warm.

Oh Francee, Oh Francee
If there is one thing I want you to know
if there is one thing to feel in your soul
all my respect and all of my love to you.
